Moses was sent to save/hhelp the Israelites but so many times his instruction was disobeyed by the very people he was sent to help.exodus 3:10(NKJV)
They always reminded him of his short coming.they rebelled against the lord again in chapter 32,and as a result Jesus wanted to destroy them at worse and remove his presences at best.he tried all he could to draw them back but yet they rebelled.
Moses requested to see the glory of the lord. I.e the lord but he replyed moses saying you can’t see me for a mere human can’t see me and live Exodus 33:23 but when I pass I would let you see my back thou said the lord.moses knew that just working on his leadership skills would not meet their needs. He wasn’t looking for an encounter he was looking for a deeper relationship with God.
Isaiah 40:29-30
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
Moses wanted to know God in 4 areas.
- His way exodus 33:23
- His person 33:13
- His presence 33:15
- His glory. 33:18
